How to remove front and rear bumper Cadillac Catera

Depending on the year of manufacture, the mounting points may differ slightly.

Front bumper

-open the hood.

-remove the overlays under the headlights.

-under the hood, pull out the pistons that attach the upper part.

-remove the license plate frame and Unscrew the screws.

-pull out the pistons and Unscrew the screws at the bottom.

-turn the wheels out of the way.

-in the wheel arches, we Unscrew the screws that attach the undercarriage and bumper corners to the fenders.

-with an assistant, we pull the bumper forward from the rails in the fenders (look for the wires).

-disconnect the electrical equipment connectors (if any).

Rear bumper

-open the trunk lid.

-in the opening of the trunk, we pull out the caps and Unscrew four screws.

-in the wheel arches, we Unscrew the screws that fasten the undercarriage and bumper sides.

-pull the pistons out from the bottom side.

-carefully pull the bumper back from the rails in the fenders (look for the wires).

-snap together the connectors for the license plate lighting.
