How to Remove the Front Bumper

 

  1. Lift and secure the hood.

  2. In the engine compartment, unscrew the four screws securing the top side of the front bumper.

  3. At the bottom, unscrew seven screws (or clips). The bumper can be removed along with the underbody cover.

  4. For convenience, turn the wheels outward.

  5. In the wheel arches, unscrew three screws on each side that secure the front part of the fender liners.

  6. Pull back the fender liners and unscrew one screw on each side that secures the corners to the fenders.

  7. Release the clips in the fenders, grab the corners, and pull firmly toward yourself.

  8. With the help of an assistant, remove the bumper by pulling it forward, being careful not to damage the wires.

  9. Disconnect the electrical connectors of the daytime running lights.

  10. The bumper is removed. Installation is performed in reverse order.

How to Remove the Rear Bumper

  1. Open the trunk.

  2. In the side trim of the trunk, open the covers.

  3. Under the covers, unscrew two plastic nuts and remove the rear lights.

  4. From the underside, unscrew four bolts screwed upward from below.

  5. Remove the license plate along with its frame.

  6. Under the license plate, unscrew two screws.

  7. In the wheel arches, unscrew four screws on each side and release the fender liners (rear half).

  8. Release the clips in the fenders. Grab the corner and pull firmly toward yourself.

  9. Release the clips under the rear lights using a plastic trim tool or a screwdriver.

  10. Release the clips in the trunk opening. Simply pull toward yourself.

  11. With the help of an assistant, remove the bumper by pulling it backward, paying attention to the wiring harness.

  12. On the left side, disconnect the electrical connectors.

  13. The bumper is removed. Installation is performed in reverse order.
