How to Remove the Front Bumper

  1. Open the hood.
  2. Under the hood, unscrew two screws (fastened top to bottom) securing the radiator grille.
  3. From underneath, unscrew seven screws (fastened bottom to top) securing the lower part of the front bumper.
  4. Turn the wheels to the side.
  5. In the wheel arches, unscrew three screws on each side securing the front part of the wheel liners.
  6. Unscrew one screw on each side (fastened bottom to top) securing the bumper corners to the fenders.
  7. Release four clips on each side in the fenders (marked with arrows, pull the corners toward you).
  8. Release four clips on the upper part of the radiator grille (simply pull toward you).
  9. Release two clips behind the lower grille (marked with blue arrows; if they don’t release easily, press them with a long flathead screwdriver).
  10. With an assistant, remove the front bumper by pulling it forward (ensure no wires or hoses are snagged).
  11. Disconnect the fog light connectors (if equipped).
  12. Detach the washer fluid hose from the reservoir (note: fluid may spill, so prepare a container or pinch the hose).

How to Remove the Rear Bumper

  1. Open the trunk lid.
  2. Remove the plastic trim near the taillights (held by clips; pry the upper part with a flathead screwdriver).

  4. From underneath, unscrew four screws (fastened bottom to top) securing the lower part of the rear bumper.
  5. Unscrew three screws on each side securing the rear part of the wheel liners (to avoid removing the wheels, use a ratchet with a Torx bit).
  6. In the wheel arches, remove one push-pin fastener on each side (fastened bottom to top) securing the bumper corners to the fenders.
  7. Release the clips in the fenders (marked with blue arrows; pull the corners toward you).
  8. Release the clips under the taillights (marked with arrows; lift the retainers with a flathead screwdriver).
  9. With an assistant, remove the rear bumper by pulling it backward (ensure no wires are damaged).
  10. Disconnect any electrical connectors (if equipped).

Model Description

After the 2010 facelift, the Touran received an updated front end with a new grille, headlights, and bumper in the style of contemporary Volkswagen models. The rear lights were also redesigned, with LED units in top trims.
