How to remove front and rear bumper Toyota Avensis MK2 (2003-2008)

Front bumper

Depending on the model year and model type, the attachment differs.

-open the hood, Unscrew the three screws and take out two pistons (twisted and inserted top to bottom) that secure the top part of the bumper to the top of the bar.

-Unscrew the screws on the perimeter in the bottom (spun up).

-wrenched the wheel to the left or right side depending on which side we will analyze first.

-in the wheel wells, Unscrew the screws and take out the rivets that attach the fender liner.

-move the wing flaps to the side and Unscrew one screw on each side (spun up), which attach the angles to the wings.

-with the aide of tear the corners with the locks in the wings and pulls the bumper from the guides themselves.

-if you have headlight washers, detach the hoses from the injectors. The liquid leaking on the ground, you need to prepare a suitable container or tube.

-remove connector from the PDC (if any).

-remove the connector from the fog lamp (if any).

Rear bumper

-in the trunk remove the plastic cover of the rear panel.

-under the skin Unscrew the nut (will need a head with extension).

-Unscrew three nuts on each side and remove the tail lights.

-under the tail lights release the latch.

-in the wheel wells, Unscrew the screws and take out the rivets that attach the fender liner.

-move the wing flaps to the side and Unscrew one screw on each side (spun up), which attach the angles to the wings.

-take out the caps and Unscrew the screws on the perimeter in the lower part (inserted and spun up).

-assistant free the bumper from the clips in the wings and pulled off of the guide itself.

-if you have sensors, remove the connector.
