How to remove front and rear bumper Toyota Hilux (2004-2015)

Toyota Hilux VII AH10/AH20/AH30 (2004-2015)

Depending on the year of manufacture and body type, the attachment points may differ.

Front bumper

-open the hood

-under the hood, Unscrew the two screws and take out the two pistons that secure the grille.

-remove the grille (the lower part is held on by latches).

-under the grille take out three pistons (inserted from top to bottom).

-around the bottom of the bumper take out the caps and Unscrew the screws (twisted and inserted from the bottom up).

-turn the wheels to the side.

-in the wheel wells, Unscrew the screws that secure the fender liner (front).

-take out one piston on each side (inserted from the bottom up) that attach the corners of the bumper to the wings.

-we release the latch in the wings (pull the corners of the bumper towards you).

-with an assistant, pull the bumper forward (look for the wires).

-disconnect electrical connectors (if any).

Rear bumper

-open the trunk lid.

-from the bottom side, Unscrew two bolts on each side that secure the bumper amplifier brackets to the body.

-with an assistant, pull the bumper back (look for the wires).

-disconnect electrical connectors.
